Great place to stop in and have a bite to eat and a cold beverage. The place is a cool converted gas station made from cobblestones. The fried cheese curds and onion chips were great and the beer... Ice cold.

Don't pass by this pure up north eatery. The historic cobblestone building makes for a warm atmosphere in which to enjoy a great sandwich, burger or salad. A full bar compliments the food. I had the Malibu chicken sand which with grilled pineapple and asiago cheese served on a ciabatta roll. Very juicy and the pineapple and cheese complimented each other wonderfully. The chicken Reuben was another choice I will have to try on another visit. A great find in the great north.

My husband and I have visited the UP many times and just discovered this establishment . The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. I had the best burger that I have ever eaten. It was made from fresh ground beef and the beer from the tap was cold and good. The owners are great people. Go ahead and try. You will not regret it.

While driving from Minneapolis to Montreal we stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Ordered a burger myself and my daughter had chicken strips (I think). When the burger came out without fries (something I usually take for granted) I was somewhat disappointed, It took one bite out of the burger to realize 'who needs fries'. Best damn burger I've had in years. I know what our lunch stop will be when we're headed back to Montreal in August.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch at the Cobblestone yesterday while on a " Windy Day" U.P. Cruise. Couldn't fish so we went for a ride. Was last here 15 years ago and I think it was better than I remembered. Excellent hamburger, cold Coke in a can with a big glass of excellent ice. I can't stand bad "gun" pop in bars and we had two hours to get home so we opted out of a beer. Fries were interesting and surprisingly good. The owner waited on us and was very gracious. All this for $22 and clean bathrooms too. We will be back.
